Starting the New Year

Things are just going as usual. Nothing major or special except Christopher bought Elijah his first walker. It’s exciting for me. Other mothers might understand this.

January 2, 2009 Blog Prompt: Today is Fruitcake Toss Day. Have you ever eaten fruitcake? What are your feelings about it?
Well, the ones in the stores don’t taste good to me. Now my maternal grandmother makes really tasty fruitcakes. She first get fresh fruits, grinds them up and have them soaking in rum for some time. Later she makes the batter and adds the fruit. Yummy!
